Ernst Storm, originally from South Africa, studied at the country’s acclaimed Elsenburg Agricultural College in Stellenbosch. In 2003, Storm came to California to work at a winery in the Sierra Foothills. He was drawn to the climate that reminded him of home and decided to plant his roots in Santa Barbara County. After 19 years of winemaking, Storm is known for making classical styled wines with personality of vintage and site. In 2021, Hobson Family Farms was introduced to Ernst and his wine making skills and he was introduced to our grapes, it was a perfect blend!
